Man shot to death in San Pedro
A gunman in a sport utility vehicle shot and killed a 48-year-old man talking with friends on a San Pedro street, police said today.
The gunman
pulled up in the vehicle as the victim talked with friends on the sidewalk on
Mesa Street near 22nd Street at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The killer
got out, walked up to the victim and shot him multiple times with a handgun. He
then got back into the SUV and drove away
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was
pronounced dead.The motive for the shooting was unknown, police said. The victim's name was not released, pending notification of relatives.
