Agents raid medical marijuana business in Marina del Rey

| | Comments (1) |
Federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents raided a medical marijuana dispensary inĀ marijuanaleaf.jpgMarina del Rey earlier today.

They served a search warrant about noon at Marina Caregivers, 730 Washington Blvd.

Sarah Pullen, a DEA spokeswoman, said agents were looking for violations of federal law, but she could not discuss what exactly. No one was arrested.

A man who answered the phone at the place said he had done nothing wrong. He wouldn't identify himself.

A couple of medical marijuana dispensaries were raided in Venice as well.

California voters approved marijuana for medical issues in 1996, but federal law still says no.
