  • It's all fun and games until The Game gets arrested ... Charges are filed against rapper, The Game, a.k.a. Jayceon Terrell Taylor, who was arrested after a fight in which he allegedly pulled a gun at a basketball game in South L.A.

    The Los Angeles County District Attorney's press release:

    The rap artist known as “The Game” was charged today with making a criminal threat and possession of a firearm in a school zone in connection with a Feb. 24 pickup basketball game, the District Attorney’s office announced.

    Jayceon Terrell Taylor, 27 (dob 11-29-79), is also charged with one count of exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer. All three counts are felonies charged in case No. BA 323621. He is scheduled to be arraigned sometime after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Division 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center, 210 W. Temple St.

    Taylor allegedly got into an altercation with a player on an opposing team during a basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in South Los Angeles. After allegedly punching the victim, Taylor allegedly pulled a gun from his red Escalade and threatened to shoot the victim.

    Taylor was arrested May 11 at his Glendale home by Los Angeles Police Department officers as police executed a search warrant. He was released on $50,000 bail.

    If convicted, he’s facing more than five years in state prison.
