- Best protection.
Get a HUGE dog!
ValleyGirl | 07.11.07 - 7:21 am | # - My parents were also victims under the same cercumstances three weeks ago in Culver CiTy! They came as Department of Agreculture men and kept my parents in the back yard for 20 min. They sat in their parked WHITE van for a long time waiting to see if my parents were leaving, (they had their car out in the driveway). Being suspicious my parents didn't leave. But the next day three people showed up a woman and 2 men. They said that the house behind my parents were tearing the back fence down and it would make a huge mess. They said they needed to come into the house and make sure that their plumbing was working properly so if their was any damage then it would be fixed for them. Then they made my parents come into the back yard for a long time feeling the ground and saying they felt water and going all around the yard and showing the back fence and what was going to be torn down. When my parents returned to their house and those people left, my mom discovered her floor jewerly box was broken into and a gun, jewelry, coins and the deed to the house and her mothers will and some bank statements and unused credit cards were all missing! It has been a huge mess trying to stop what we can from being used. I don't know why they took the deed, will and bank statements unless they were going to commit Identity theft also. So we have had a very emoional and frightning time trying to protect them from Identity theft. The Culver City Police have not even asked my parents to look at mug shots or anything. They just say until we start having trouble we won't know if they are victims of identity theft! That just seems nuts! I wish my parents lived in LA at least the LAPD is more professional in investigating crimes like this. Culver city is like the Keystone cops.
