Zorro strikes again
FBI officials are looking for "Zorro," a bank robber who hit two Southland banks in one hour Tuesday.
The unidentified man, who has been given the moniker "Zorro" for his penchant for wearing black, robbed a Union Bank in Glendale Tuesday at about 10:20 in the morning, followed by a Wells Fargo Bank in the Larchmont Village area at about 11:20 a.m.
Investigators believe this is the third time the man has robbed the Glendale bank. They credit him with six bank robberies since June 2006.
FBI officials said the man speaks "unaccented English" and commonly brandishes a weapon, which he partially conceals in his jacket pocket while demanding cash from tellers.
Anyone with information on the Zorro Bandit is urged to contact the FBI at (310) 477-6565 or to contact a local police department.
