Here are arrests from Aug. 27:


  • Craner Avenue, North Hollywood: A 20-year-old warehouseman from North Hollywood told police he heard shots fired, walked around the corner and found an AK-47 lying in the street. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an assault rifle.

  • 8000 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard, Panorama City: A 28-year-old Van Nuys man was arrested on suspicion of drinking in public.

  • 19000 block of Londelius Street, Northridge: A 31-year-old woman from San Fernando was arrested on suspicion of credit card theft.

  • Polk Street, Sylmar: A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth.

  • 19000 block of Vanowen Street, Reseda: A 19-year-old saleswoman from Woodland Hills was arrested on suspicion of forging a fictitious check.

  • 15500 block of Vanowen Street, Van Nuys: A 35-year-old housewife was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery.
