Hey Brandon. I just saw your article on "it's going around" March 27th. Since today is 3 days later, March 30th and I drove by the east bound 101 and somebody it turns out was shot, I am wondering if this gang initiation thing could be connected? It seems all to close. The timing is scary....8:00am? Normal people getting up for church.....what on earth?

As far as I - or any of the LAPD or sheriff's officials I spoke with - know, there was no gang initiation involving freeway shootings. As blog entry stated, it was only panic caused by an urban legend chain letter.
That most recent freeway shooting you were referring to was, in fact, a suicide.
