Green Skeleton Bandit unmasked
Here's an update to yesterday's post about the Green Skeleton Bandit being shot in North Hollywood by a U.S. marshal.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD - Police this morning identified the man shot to death by a U.S. marshal outside an auto-parts store. Lawrence Dean Smith Jr., 24, of Palmdale was the robber local police called the Green Skeleton Bandit, responsible for six holdups in the North Hollywood area since Feb. 28.Smith was fleeing the scene of a robbery holding a knife and $600 in cash Tuesday evening when he was shot by a marshal escorting a Central American official into AutoZone, police said.
