  • Cops set up a perimeter yesterday morning at 5 at Roscoe Boulevard and Kester Avenue. Van Nuys robbery detectives and gang cops were serving a search warrant for a robbery suspect. The suspect was seen running from the location. A perimeter and a command post were set up, including a helicopter and K-9 team. No word the description of the man or what he did. Cops say the incident is still under investigation.

  • A business robbery was reported at 8:35 p.m. yesterday in the 19300 block of Victory Boulevard. A CVS Pharmacy was hit. The suspect was described a white man between 40 and 45-years-old. He pointed a gun at the clerk who was working the check stand and stated “give me the money," and opened a bag for the clerk to put the money in. Then he took off running. He was wearing gloves and did not touch anything.

  • Police reported an assault with a deadly weapon and shots fired call at 3:50 this morning at Devonshire Street at Larwin Avenue. The victim, a security guard, was patrolling the strip mall and saw a vehicle driving circles in the parking lot. The victim stopped to investigate and the suspect got out of his vehicle and pulled a gun from his waistband. The victim drove away as the suspect fired two rounds towards the victim, sticking in the rear window of victim’s vehicle. The suspect took off.

  • A kidnap was reported yesterday at 1:30 p.m. at San Fernando Boulevard and the 405 Freeway. Five male Black suspects - 30-years-old - were driving vehicle and approached the victim who was walking on the sidewalk. The suspects got out of the van and forced the victim into their car. One suspect placed a black semi-auto gun to the victim’s head and stated “Are you White Power? Are you a Nazi? Where do you live?” The suspects drove victim around in the Mission Hills area for approximately 30-45 minutes before forcing the victim out of the vehicle near the victim’s residence. No other details were immediately available.
