An afternoon crime blotter update ...


  • An attempted kidnap/robbery was reported Monday at 9:05 p.m. in the 14600 block of Saticoy Street. Officers responded to a radio call of a 211 Attempt Kidnap. A male, black approached the female victim from behind and attempted to push her back into her vehicle. The victim believing that she was being kidnapped handed the subject the keys to her vehicle, and began to scream. The subject was last seen fleeing on foot.

  • On Monday at 8:10 p.m. at 6410 Platt Avenue, a gunman described as 40-year-old and white went into a location, walked up to a cashier and demanded cash. The cashier was frightened into complying and the suspect walked over to a second cashier and also demanded cash. The gunman gave the cashier a "Ralphs” shopping bag and the cashier put the money in the bag. He then fled on foot south bound on Platt.

  • A robbery was reported this morning at 3 at 22004 Clarendon Street. A gunman described as black and between 18 and 20-years-old entered a gas station and demanded money. He money and snacks and ran away in a unknown direction.
