Police blotter

| | Comments (1)

In addition to the guy getting shot in the butt yesterday afternoon behind the Ralphs, there was a robbery at 8:30 last night at the Sports Authority store at 8700 Tampa Ave. in Northridge. Here's how the police said it went down. The victim and his wife were in the parking lot of the Sports Authority store. As they got out of their vehicle, five 13-17-year-old Hispanic males ran towards them from across the street and surrounded them. One suspect pulled a small handgun from his pocket, pointed it at the ground in front of the victims, and demanded their property. The victims complied and all the suspects ran away and into an apartment complex on Parthenia Street. The victims were not injured.

Also, don't forget to check out the new Valley Crime Map that shows the last month's worth of crimes compiled from LAPD and news reports.
