A couple of incidents from over the weekend ...

A home invasion robbery was reported yesterday at 1 a.m. in the 4400 block of Allott Ave. The suspect, described as a black male, forced open the front door of the victim's residence. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, demanded property and struck the victim on the head with the handgun. The suspect fled with the victim's purse.

A robbery was reported yesterday at 2:10 a.m. at Erwin Street and Clybourn Avenue. The victim is a pizza delivery employee. After delivering the pizza, the victim walked towards his vehicle when he observed a vehicle stop in the middle of the roadway and three suspects exited. The victim ran towards his vehicle and was immediately surrounded by the gun and knife wielding suspects. They demanded his money and the victim in fear complied. The victim ran in an attempt to escape but was tripped by one of the suspects. The suspects fled in their vehicle with the victim's property.
