A "Bridge" to Brentwood

| | Comments (0) |

Props to Richmark Entertainment and the Brentwood Theatre for booking Sarah Jones's solo show, "Bridge &Tunnel" at the end of September into October.

This was a case of an off Broadway hit moving to Broadway. Jones plays something like 14 people -- all cultures, both genders _ tackling the subject of assimilation in America. Meryl Streep championed the original production in 2004. When it got to Broadway, "B&T" took a special 2006 Tony award. Tony Taccone, artistic director of the Berkeley rep Theatre, reprises his direction.

"Bridge and Tunnel" opens Sept. 26 and plays through Oct. 21. Tix: (213) 365-3500 or visit www.richmarkent.com

About The City
in Curtains

As the theater critic of the Los Angeles Daily News, Evan Henerson goes to a lot of plays in a city where most people go to the movies. For the sake of the people who put on these plays — and, yes, for the sake of his job — he thinks you should do the same.
