LA's Chief Legislative Analyst puts the cost at 3-point-2 million dollars...Daily News reporter Rick Orlov tells Ken Jeffries that officials are justifying the expense because of the crush of fans they thought would attend the July 6th event at Staples Center. Also, the report estimated the service generated four million dollars in revenue from increased tourism to the city. However, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich's fight to recoup the money the city laid out...apparently will continue.
