A Chief sales job

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been escorting his choice for LAPD Chief around town...in a series of public appearances before various groups. Deputy Chief Charlie Beck seems to have support from the City Council which will vote on his confirmation. But Daily News City Hall reporter Rick Orlov tells Ken Jeffries that the Mayor is trying to make sure that Beck has PUBLIC support, too.
