An LA Councilman blasts a state prison early release plan

In this podcast, you'll hear Dennis Zine (a former LAPD Sgt...and a current member of the Council's Public Safety Committee) blast the decision to gradually release some 65-hundred inmates over the next year..as part of a plan to ease prison overcrowding. However, the STATE indicates the plan would INCREASE public safety by calling for parole agents to focus on higher-risk parolees and cut their average workplad from 70 parolees to 48.
