Way to go, America!

We've elected a black president? Wow! What a remarkable result. I didn't know we had it in us. Talk about change we can believe in!

No matter who they voted for, everyone ought to tear up a little at such a powerful affirmation of the American dream. Suddenly, maybe anyone can grow up to be president, just as they always told us.

As for the state and local results, I don't have it in me at this hour to look 'em up. Too much trepidation. I'll post more later. For now I'd like to feel good.

"Way to go America"?

Isn't it more like - America goes the way of the world? Those of her people who don't strive to educate themselves or strive to build businesses have realized they can vote themselves a largesse from those who have. Obama tipped his hand to 'Joe the plumber' of his Socialist plans for America, and America blinked.

God help America and her economy now. You thought the Dow-Jones had already tanked? Just wait until BHO keeps his promise to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire and your taxes magically jump 20% (oh, yes they will -- numbers don't lie, politicians do).

And a "black" president? Wake up and smell your free Starbucks (I paid for mine after voting, thank you). He's Arab-American if he's any kind of hyphenated-American. (So long, Israel.) An empty suit, created out of whole cloth, put up by the dirty Daley political machine; bought and paid for by George Soros to destroy America as we know it, just as he said he would.

It all goes to prove one thing: 2/3 of a billion dollars can still buy you an election in the good old U.S. of A.

Too bad mankind made one giant leap with President Elect Obama and one small step backward with voting yes against gay rights.

Hello R.G.Wormdahl,

So if President Elect Obama bought the election, that would make him a Capitalist, right? No wait, he is a Socialist because he wants to lower most people's taxes.

Be sure to check back with us next year about this time, Mr. Wormdahl, and let us know your feelings then.

Sheesh!!

Moving on . . .

What a great time to be alive in America. I witnessed, and voted for, the election of the first Catholic President. Earth shattering in its time. The nay-sayers were convinced we'd all be converted. Didn't happen.

Now I see, with tears in my eyes, an African-American taking the helm of Our Great Nation. Words fail me.

As for the gay marriage initiative being defeated, let's take some comfort in how close the results were. And I certainly don't believe we've heard the last of the issue. At least I hope not.
