Friday column preview

The figure takes the place of one stolen in 2005 from the final scene, depicting the adult Jesus.
I also have a Pomona update and -- why not? -- a James Bond update. Look for all this in Friday's paper.

Dear Dave,
You mentioned something in your article about the old life-size statue of Christ which was stolen and never recovered. Have you seen the large statue of Christ out front of the BNP temple on Riverside Drive near Campus, in Ontario? It could be its twin!
And on the same street, a fabulous find for "locavores" -- those who like to eat locally grown food -- the farm stand has recently reopened just east of Campus on Riverside, and is selling some beautiful and inexpensive vegetables and strawberries (in December!).
Thanks for your fine column,
Tamela
