Separated at birth?

Thanks for nudging my brain. Something familiar about Mr. Erwin's photo nagged at me but I was trying to create a resemblance to an actual person I had encountered somewhere.

I wonder if folks will point at him now and snicker.

I also wonder if he's gonna sue ya.

And to think that everyone laughed when the district attorney's office decided to buy 2-Way Wrist Radios for its investigators.

I’ve followed the scandal, and seeing his mug shot too often, have also wondered where I’d seen Erwin’s pudgy visage. It’s an amazing resemblance. With all his other legal entanglements, though, he probably won’t have the money to sue you. Besides, I doubt he reads your blog; it’s a little too erudite.

The resemblance is uncanny! But I think the Dick Tracy caricature was really fashioned after J. Edgar Hoover?

J. Edgar Hoover is obviously the model for the Tracy character, and an appropriate one, too. He and his #2, Clyde Tolson, were homosexual lovers blackmailed by the Mafia. While the mob could not stop Congress from ending Prohibition, it did stop the FBI for decades. For the last few decades, modern Prohibition has continued because Congress is owned by the cop and prison industries.
