Back on the job

| | Comments (6) |

As of this morning, I'm back at my desk in the newsroom. Had a great few days off (other than the furlough part) and will be writing about my travels this week.

First order of business today: Cranking out a column for Wednesday, with my usual 2 p.m. deadline. Then: Lunch. Then: Writing something more substantial than this for Wednesday's blog. Check back then.

In the meantime, thanks for all the comments while I was away, and I hope you had a good Labor Day weekend.

And suddenly all feels right with the world again :-)

Welcome back, David. Hope your "vacation" was as enjoyable as a forced unpaid week away from work can be. Though it goes without saying, I'll say it anyway (cuz that's the kind of guy I am): you -- and your words -- were missed by many.

Looking forward to re-incorporating the David Allen Blog into my morning lap 'round the Internets ...

[Thank you, Hugh C. -- DA]

Ahhh, it is good to have you return to the blog-ways. There was a hole in my life all last week when there was nothing new to read at David Allen Blog. I did some writing of my own to fill the gap, but it was all stuff I already knew! So, welcome back to our little part of the world.

Welcome back...you are just in time to try Legends Burgers which will be opening a restaurant in the new College Park section just east of the Claremont Colleges.

[I did not know that. That's a quality outfit. -- DA]

I always miss you when you're out of town. I thought about you all week and wondered where you'd traveled. I'm glad you had fun, but sorry you lost money doing it (and more than just the spending part of traveling). Welcome home! :)

Glad you're back. You missed the fireworks, literally, along with the poor air quality. Even though I've been following your blog for a short time, I missed checking in for my daily fix.

[Just a taste, then you're hooked. I picked up that strategy from drug dealers. -- DA]

You made a stop in SLO and no mention of or visit to the most ghastly but "sexy" Madonna Inn? I spent every Oct. 26 from 1975 to 1984 with the Mrs. No. 1 there and of course the only I.E. connection I can think of is Cal Poly. Did you stop in Los Osos, right next door to Morro Bay? Great antique stores and a great I.E. high school. Welcome back, old friend.

[I've never been to the Madonna Inn. (Gasp.) I suppose I should pull over sometime just to go in and use the famous ornate restroom. -- DA]
