    This mention caused me to revisit the post that you wrote upon Glen Bell’s death, as well as some of the other material written at the time that discussed Bell’s influence on Taco Bell, Der Wienerschnitzel, Del Taco, et al, as well as the McDonald brothers and Neal Baker.

    I like this quote from Stater Brothers’ Jack Brown: “If you think about it, except for pizza, just about every kind of fast food started right here in the Inland Empire.”

    So why didn’t we start the pizza craze?
