Chef statuary is everywhere
On the streets of Mexico City, a few blocks from the Zocalo, I saw this hip-high figure outside a restaurant. I took a photo because it looked awfully familiar.
And sure enough, there's a chef's figure on the counter at Nancy's Cafe in Rancho Cucamonga, not to mention a life-sized version outside the Local Baker in Upland. They're almost as prolific as garden gnomes.

I have a couple of garden gnomes. Maybe I should keep an eye out for a chef statue to keep them company.
Lovin' the quote about being cynical. I might have to adopt that as my new motto.
The ones in Upland/Rancho Cucamonga are named Paul and the Mexico one is named Pablo.
Maybe this could be a new gig for William Postmus if he dyes his hair black and gets those glasses back on...community service anyone?
