Two milestones
Thursday was my 14th anniversary at the Daily Bulletin, and today is my 47th birthday. I'm going to celebrate by attending an Upland council meeting tonight. No rest for the wicked (a category that may include the Upland council).

No doubt about it, you are a survivor. I just don't know which is more impressive -- 47 years of tuna melts or 14 years covering the Inland Valley. Congratulations on both and best wishes for 47 more (in honor of the Claremont random number)!

Ya know, I've had a few birthday celebrations that were less than stellar, but I don't remember one as dismal as attending an Upland council meeting. Maybe there will be fireworks to liven things up.
Hopefully, you will be with a friend or two later to put a proper gladness note on the occasion.
If there will be cake think of me with your first bite.

[I'm afraid the Upland meeting is it for the day -- but I had lunch with one group of friends Saturday and dinner and bowling with another group on Sunday, so I'm satisfied. -- DA]
News Agent 47, I once had to spend a birthday evening at a council meeting...wouldn't have been my first choice. I'm sure you're aware that you share a birthday with a man known for his hairstyle (and that whole relativity thing). Cheers!

As a "former" employee of the IVDB, all I can say is that I am truly blessed to be able to call David a friend and to wish him a Happy Birthday. Also, between David, "China Girl" Wendy, "Miss O" Liset, "Miss P" Monica, "Little Lainey" and "Diana Italiana"...I would have no other reason to be a subscriber...Giddy Up!!!!
