I thought leap days happen every 4 unless ol' Kronos ended up on furlough and years started being calculated in drastically reduced fractions of what they used to be.

Yes, Leap Day occurs when the year can evenly be divided by 4 but not when it can also be evenly divided by 100. The exception is when the year can be evenly divided by 400 as well. So 1996 was because it's divisible by 4. 1900 was NOT because, while divisible by 4, is also disivible by 100 but not 400. 2000 was a leap year because it was evenly divisible by 4, 100, and 400.
Yeah, and I did that without looking it up. I'm not a well person. =)

It's all good Carl. I learned something, probably do some yoga at one of the finer health clubs, the beach would be nicer but the drive back would counter the "experience".
Six years? Must be the jet lag from your trip to London and Paris. I can't wait for tales and pictures.

As for today, I took advantage of the correlation between Leap Day and Sadie Hawkins Day and asked my best fella - grandson - for a date. Which means I have to pay.

Going to see the Reign play at CBBA tonight. That way, I'll have proof in ticket form that I really did a leap year activity.

We went to Kingman to celebrate my brother-in-law's 80th birthday, with him. We were all kidding him, about looking so young, for 20. As far as we know, and as far as he knew, he has had a bonafide birthday, every four years.
