I haven’t been going to Arby’s in Pomona, but I can emphathize that it’s probably very upsetting for any regular. Things keep closing and unemployment keeps rising–and of course, it’s all the President’s fault, because he can’t put his finger in this leaking dyke.

Last month when I was trying to get to “In-N-Out” for my spouse’s “fix”, Foothill was blocked by a car accident. So when I was driving around looking for some other place to buy him a meal, I thought I saw the fairly new Kentucky Fried Chicken place on Central, in Montclair, north of Arrow Hwy boarded up. Anybody know about that?

Perhaps the three Upland residents who advised the City employees to accept pay freezes, want to see those employees in the same situation as the rest of the service-related private sector is already at. Yesterday, I was in line for about a half-hour at Penney’s, waiting to see if the clerk could find me the shoe in brown. I suppose these, private-sector “advisers”, will think it’s just “ducky”, when all those still employed in the public sector join them in their own miserable situations.

Street sweeping once a month? Terrible! Streets need to be swept once a week–they should also to go back to spraying a little water and washing the streets while they are at it.

[Ha ha! A little of everything in that comment, Shirley. About the KFC, it’s been closed for probably a year, but only was boarded up recently. Upland streets now are swept every other week. — DA]
