Happy Thanksgiving

Is there anything more to say than that? Just that I’m thankful for all of you who read my stuff, here and in print, and thankful for these forums that allow me to be paid for writing for a living.

Oh, and there won’t be a Restaurant of the Week post tomorrow. That feature will return next week. You’ll be eating leftovers Friday anyway, right?

Happy T-Day, David. You choose – Thanksgiving Day or Turkey Day.

And that goes for all you folks who post here regularly. Remember, holiday food has no calories. (Don’t we wish!) So enjoy!

I’m grateful for a boatload of stuff. Should I say gravy-boat-load just for today?

I try to be thankful every day, but some days make it difficult. On beautiful days like today I know where my blessings lie and the other stuff will just have to take a back seat to me being grateful with every mouthful. And, thankfully, there will be plenty of mouthfuls.

And turkey sandwiches tomorrow. Ahhh. Good times.

I hope you and everyone here had a good day yesterday. In our family it was not turkey day. We’re Armenian, so we feasted on dishes that are traditional for us, including lamb shish kabob, stuffed grape leaves, pilaf, and paklava for dessert. It was a great day of being together.

Please don’t hate me for this. I do LOVE the Fox Pomona post with the photo of the GWTW marquee. The Premiere was held at the Lowe’s Grand on Peachtree, before its destruction, delightfully located almost across the street from the (destroyed- you know us Atlantans love history) Carnegie Library so iconic in stories of MM’s writing the actual book from which the movie got so much of its better dialog and characters. Was just Googliling around for info on the 1947 re release in Atl. TY and LOVE the Studebaker!
