A man was shot to death in Torrance early this morning and his roommate was later arrested in connection with the crime, police said.
At 12:03 a.m., Torrance police received a call about a possible shooting in the 16600 block of Ogram Avenue, said Torrance police Sgt. Jeremiah Hart.
When police arrived, they found the victim dead at the scene. His name was not released.
Police arrested a suspect, Ivan Fay, 61, several hours later at Alondra Park without incident. Hart said he was the victim's roommate.
Police did not say how they located Fay.
"Right now it's an ongoing investigation," Hart said. "The motive is unknown."
A handgun was recovered at the residence.
