| | Comments (0)

Police have determined that a suspicious package found earlier today at Lagoon Avenue and F Street in Wilmington was filled with "trash" and posed no public danger.

At around 2 p.m., a passerby flagged down a Los Angeles police officer to report an unattended case on the corner, police said.

"Once we arrived, officers observed a burgandy suitcase lying against a power pole," said LAPD Sgt. Lee Powell. "We set up a two-block perimeter and requested that the bomb squad respond."

By 4 p.m., police said it was determined that the case contained trash.
