NFL (49ers): Retiran el No. 8 de Steve Young
Los 49ers de San Francisco anunciaron ayer que retirarán el No. 8, número vestido por el legendario mariscal de campo Steve Young de 1987-99, durante el entre tiempo del partido contra los Patriots de New England el 5 de octubre.
Young tiene estadísticas que son sólo sobrepasadas por Joe Montana. En su carrera, el quarterback tuvo 221 pases para touchdown y ganó 92 juegos (Montana tuvo 244 y 99 respectivamente).
También ganó el trofeo de MVP de la liga en el '92 y '94. Ese mismo año, rompió el récord por el máximo número de toudowns en un Super Bowl (6). 1995 fue la última vez que los 49ers ganaron un Super Bowl.
