49ers: Martz multado $20,000 por quejarse de los árbitros

Mike Martz no estaba feliz con la manera en la cual los árbitros manejaron los últimos minutos del partido en el que los 49ers perdieron 29-24 en Arizona el 10 de noviembre. La NFL a su vez no estuvo feliz con los comentarios de Martz y multaron al coordinador ofensivo $20,000 esta semana. CBS Sportsline reportó la noticia primero. El martes, después del partido, Martz y el entrenador en jefe Mike Singletary ambos tuvieron preguntas acerca de la foma en que se arbitró el final del partido. La jugada final crucial implicó una serie en la cual los 49ers creyeron haber estado dentro de la yarda 1 gracias a su fullback. De hecho, luego de revisar la jugada, los árbitros movieron la pelota hasta la yarda 2 1/2. Ellos avisaron su decisión por medio del portavoz del estadio, pero los 49ers insistieron que esta no fue oída debido al ruido de la hinchada. Martz dijo que los oficiales típicamente hablan con la línea de banda y explican ese tipo de decisiones. Los 49ers, por supuesto, perdieron el partido cuando la lanzada de cabeza de su fullback fue detenida a una yarda de la zona de anotación.
