Clippers: ¿Baron Davis quiere irse de Los Angeles?
Este fin de semana Baron Davis y Stephen Jackson se juntaron para pasar el rato en Los Angeles y tuvieron una conversación. Jackson se llevó la impresión de que Davis quiere regresar a jugar a Golden State.
Davis desmintió lo dicho por Jackson.
De acuerdo al San Jose Mercury News, Jackson, un escolta de los Warriors, dijo que Davis (su amigo) expresó su deseo de regresar a su ex-equipo.
Davis, quien jugó en Oakland por cuatro temporadas, le dijo al Los Angeles Times que la noción era desacertada. "No no quiero irme," dijo el base.
"No sé lo que Stephen Jackson haya sacado de la conversación. Eso nunca salió de mi boca," Davis dijo el lunes. "Estoy aquí. Haciendo lo mismo que hize en Golden State. El primer año en Golden State fue duro. Fue una temporada dura. Nos estabamos conociendo, aprendiendo el sistema. Ese año de transición siempre es duro."
Davis decidió pasar el último año opcional de su contrato con los Warriors y los Clippers le dieron uno de cinco años por $65 millones. Pero las cosas no han salido como esperadas. Davis ha convertido menos del 40 por ciento de sus tiros y los Clippers tienen un récord de 8-21.
Jackson estaba en Los Angeles con los Warriors ya que estos jugaban contra los Lakers. El escolta dijo que Davis quería regresar a Oakland y que él también lo quería de regreso.
