Lakers: Segunda decepción consecutiva, en Phoenix
A los Lakers ya no parece que les esté interesando mucho jugar éstos partidos de la temporada regular. Por segunda vez consecutiva de visita, los Lakers jugaron sin pasión por largos periodos de tiempo y perdieron contra un equipo al que hace tan sólo días habían humillado; los Suns.
Phoenix derrotó a L.A. 118-111 el domingo en el US Airways Center. Shaquille O'Neal, un ex-Lakers, se desquitó y anotó 33 puntos antes de ser descalificado. Kobe Bryant tuvo 49 puntos, pero necesitó 38 tiros para conseguirlos.
Los Suns le sacaron una ventaja de 15 puntos a los Lakers antes de que éstos se despertaran y consiguieran una ventaja propia. Pero eso no duró. Phoenix volvió a pasar adelante, por 10 puntos.
Los Lakers no pudieron salir adelante debido a su terrible defensa. Los Suns, los que jugaron sin Steve Nash, hicieron el 55 por ciento de sus tiros. Shaq conectó en 13 de 18 se los suyos.
Los Angeles aún tiene el mejor récord de la NBA (48-12). Pau Gasol tuvo 30 puntos, pero ningún otro Lakers anotó más de nueve.
En contraste, Shaq tuvo ayuda por todos lados. Matt Barnes anotó 26 puntos; Leandro Barboso tuvo 22 y Grant Hill añadió 17.
