100 hours of Comedy

The Foster Kids Comedy Group is proud to announce the first ever Stationary Marathon! The Marathon will be a 100 hour long run shown through live webcast, done entirely on a treadmill (hence the "stationary"). The marathon will begin at 5:00pm on February 19th and go until 9:00pm on February 23rd, and at all times one member of the group will be running. The purpose of the event is to raise money for Children's Hope of California, a foster home for abused, neglected, abandoned, and orphaned boys from ages 8-18 who have been removed from their parents by court order. The Foster Kids Comedy Group is excited to have this opportunity to raise money for this case, not only becaues of the children currently in the care of Children's Hope, but also because one of our group's founding members, Paul Harris, grew up in the foster program Children's Hope.

The Stationary Marathon will be a fully interactive, online experience where people can watch the marathon and make donations. As the amount of money we have raised increases, we're going to do a number of things for the entertainment of our viewers, like increase the speed, increase the incline, throw things at the person running, the possibilities are endless! You'll have to wait and see! But the fun doesn't stop there: once logged onto the website, viewers will get to watch The Foster Kids perform live, improvised, sketches and interact with all the members of the group with live video feeds and chat rooms.

The Foster Kids Comedy Group was formed two years ago with the goal of making people laugh. With the members differing in background and age, they named themselves "The Foster Kids" in the spirit of the familial bond they had created through the common love of being funny. It is extremely fulfilling to now be hosting a charity to raise money for actual foster children so that they will be given the same options and opportunities others may take for granted in their everyday lives. The Stationary Marathon will be hosted on www.TheFosterKidsComedy.com along with several promotional videos of the group's preparation for the event including a walk through the boy's home led by Paul Harris as he recalls some of the memories growing up at Children's Hope. You can visit www.TheFosterKidsComedy.com now to see these videos and make donations.

Children's Hope of California is based in Upland and has been helping boys since 1990 and we at The Foster Kids hope everyone will be encouraged to participate in the Stationary Marathon and donate what they can to such a terrific cause.
