The Cal Poly Pomona Art Department announces the revival of their
MENTORS Art Exhibition. The exhibit, which first premiered in 2007
during Pasadena's ArtNight, is all about the value and importance of
mentoring at Cal Poly Pomona. "We pride ourselves in helping our
students enter the professional world of art and design," says
Babette Mayor, professor and chair of the Art department. "This is an
opportunity for us to help students gain valuable insight into the
highly rigorous and competitive experience of exhibiting. It is also
an opportunity for students to learn about and interact with their
local community as the exhibit will take place at the Cal Poly Pomona
Downtown Art Center."

The exhibit will feature artwork from faculty and students of the Art
Department at Cal Poly Pomona University. The premise is simple,
each faculty member has agreed to invite the student(s) of their
choice and mentor them one-on-one through the process. The
collaborative show will include 3D design, painting, mixed media,
photography, and digital work of 32 faculty and student participants
