New Q in the IE

So, you’ve got your Babe’s Slim Pig N’s in Redlands and its sow-sister Babe’sBabe’s Bar-B-Que Grill and Brewhouse in Rancho Mirage.

You’ve got your Famous Dave’s in Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga.
You’ve got your mom-and-pops, like Bobby Ray’sBar-B-Que in San Bernardino andGram’s Mission Barbeque Palace in Riverside.
And beginning Monday, you’ve got another choice:Virginia Barbecue. A small chain with restaurants in Virginia (betcha could’ve figured that out), Maryland, Delaware and Michigan, will open its first California store right here in the Inland Empire.

The chain’s 15th restaurant, in theCreekside Plaza at 30571 Temecula Parkway in Temecula,will be open 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily.

The press release explains that the pork at Virginia Barbeque is slow-smoked over hickory logs for 12 hours and prepared in two different regional barbeque styles: Virginia with a tomato-based sauce, and North Carolina with a vinegar-based sauce.
Franchise owner and Temecula residentLouis Hauge owns the rights to develop 12 restaurants throughout the communities of Corona, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Riverside and Temecula, so this appears to be only the beginning.
