Return of the killer cookie dough

OK, so now the state Department of Public Health has expanded its warning about potentially-Salmonella-tainted peanut butter cookie dough to include another source -- Dough-To-Go, Inc., of Santa Clara.

Dough-to-Go, Inc., distributed frozen peanut butter cookies and dough in 30 California counties under the Dough-To-Go and Jane Dough labels.

They were mostly sold as fundraisers for schools and AYSO groups.

Here in the Inland Empire, you might have purchased the dough from:

  • McKinley Elementary School in Redlands
  • AYSO San Bernardino, Beaumont or Hemet
  • Bell Mountain Middle School (and band members) in Menifee
  • Growing Place Preschool in Riverside
  • Diamond Valley Middle School, Hemet or Tahquitz high school cheer squads, or Little Lake, Valley Vista or Whittier elementary schools, all in Hemet
If you happen to have purchased peanut butter dough from one of these organizations, please check the lot code on the side of the box. The following lot codes have been recalled:

  • CBB-335-40 (12 cookies per case)
  • CBB-330-20 (72 cookies per case)
  • CBR-190-20 (80 cookies per case)
  • CBR-330-20 (80 cookies per case)
  • CBR-330-12 (144 cookies per case)
  • CBR-190-18 (18 pound pail)
  • CBR-320-18 (18 pound pail)
  • FUN-001-0U (36 cookies per case)
  • FUN-320-0O (36 cookies per case)
  • CMB-PBU-30 (24 cookies per case)
As was the case with the Sweet Success cookie dough, no illnesses associated with Dough-To-Go peanut butter cookie dough have been reported to date.

However, if you have recently purchased Dough-To-Go peanut butter cookie dough, you are asked to dispose of it. If you have further questions, please contact Dough-To-Go at (800) 220-2339.
