Thanks to our friend Amanda “Film Cannon” Keith for tipping Dine 909 off on the soon-to-be-open Swirly D’Lite frozen yogurt shop in the Stater Bros. shopping center at Alabama Street and Barton Road in Redlands.

I guess they are trying to catch those who think the TCBY a block away at San Mateo Street and Brookside Avenue is just too far to go.

Of course they’ll have plenty of frozen confection competition, what with at least five other frozen yogurt places (Golden Spoon, Ohana, Nubi, Hogi Yogi and the previously-mentioned TCBY), the old standbys (Baskin-Robbins, Cold Stone Creamery, Dairy Queen) and even frozen custard (Theron’s) already in Redlands.
