Old Spaghetti Factory still celebrating with more outrageous deals

The Old Spaghetti Factory, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, is still celebrating.

And why shouldn’t they? Their 40th anniversary lasts all year!

Beginning Tuesday, March 31, they are repeating the deal they had earlier this year…40% off their Pasta Classics. This deal will be offered for lunch and dinner every Tuesday from then until May 26.

Here are some sample prices:

  • Spaghetti with tomato sauce –$4.79
  • Spaghetti with white clam sauce — $5.70
  • Spaghetti with browned butter and Mizithra cheese — $5.99
  • Children’s spaghetti dinner — $2.99

Considering that their dinners include soup or salad; hot tea, iced tea, coffee or milk; and a scoop of spumoni or vanilla ice cream, it’s a terrific bargain and a great way to help beat the recession.

The Old Spaghetti Factory has restaurants in the Inland Empire in Riverside (3191 Mission Inn Ave.) and Rancho Cucamonga (11896 Foothill Blvd.).

I’ve marked my calendar already.

Since we’re on the subject of the Old Spaghetti Factory, a friend and I stopped at the Riverside location last night a mere minutes before closing, on our way home after a long day of traipsing around California Adventure.

I thought we might get shooed away, but to their credit, we were seated and served with no problems. We weren’t the last ones to get our foot in their door, either.

We got our food quickly, but we weren’t rushed. Thanks to Carly, our server, who didn’t give any indication that she was ready to go home.

More thanks to their management, who accepts customers up until closing time…but don’t all make it a habit.

Yet another reason why the Old Spaghetti Factory is a Dine 909 Favorite.

By the way, I highly recommend the Spinach Tortellini with Alfredo Sauce…I had it last night, only I opted for their pesto Alfredo sauce. It was delicious! It was even better for lunch today…yum!
