¡Adiós, Colton Zendejas!
As you may have read in today's Biz page, Zendejas' Colton location has closed.
The restaurant had recently remodeled to expand its bar and add a second dance floor, which ran afoul of the restaurant's conditional-use permit with the city.
Colton Police ordered the establishment to cease its nightclub activities as of August 1, and the owner decided to shut down.
In other words, the restaurant couldn't survive solely as a restaurant.
Prospective diners were greeted by a hand-written note saying: "Thank you for your support. We have relocated to 1970 Ostrems Way in San Bernardino."
Odd choice of wording, since that San Bernardino location has been open for years.
Personally, I can't remember the last time I ate at the Colton location. Or the San Bernardino location, which is only about a block from The Sun.

Sassy Steer across the street has uttered (uddered?) it's last moo,
although there's a banner hanging over the Sassy Steer sign announcing
the impending opening of a Mr. Woo's Chinese eatery.
The one and only time I went to the Sassy Steer (a couple of years ago), it was looking more than a little long in the tooth.
Also, the short-lived Submarina California Subs on the other side of the 215 has set sail.
They came and went so quickly I didn't even get a chance to check them out, although they do have other Inland Empire locations.
Hmm...California Subs in California. Isn't that kind of redundant?

FYI, Zendajas is opening one their stores at the old "On the Border" location on Grand Avenue between Pipeline and the 71 Freeway. Signs say "coming soon!"

This place was middle of the road Mexican food for me. There are tons of Mexican food places to choose from around here. The Colton neighborhood where they were located is full of panhandlers, bums and homeless looking people. You would think that Colton would have better things to do than harass a business for a dance floor. I have lived and worked in and around Colton for years and i can say that Colton is nothing to write home about.
I strictly recommend not to wait until you get enough amount of cash to buy goods! You can get the mortgage loans or financial loan and feel comfortable
