R.I.P. West Coast Whoopies?

I had heard a couple of weeks back that West Coast Whoopies in Calimesa had closed.

I held off writing anything until after I had a chance to check it out for myself.

Lo and behold, after a recent tour of the Yucaipa Adobe, I drove over to Calimesa to find a giant "for lease" sign in the spot formerly occupied by West Coast Whoopies.

However, the Web site for West Coast Whoopies is still alive and kicking.

I remember from our visit last year that Queen Whoopie Maker Alisa Evans had her fingers in lots of pies, so to speak, and at the time, they had just started a separate facility somewhere in Yucaipa.

So, the retail bakery may be gone, but I'd like to believe the Whoopie pies (and cakes and breads and more) live on!

I knew it will close down I gave it 6 months the most and again I was right maybe you should think a little before you write a article of something that not going to last no one wants whoppie pies. Its a amish thing and will always be a amish thing as long as there are tourist to buy them.

Well, not sure about Grumpy but I am certain Doc Sneezy and Bashful thought they were pretty swell. Amish or not. Gee whiz who woke up on the wrong side of the bed?

Nothing makes me grumpier than reading Rich's attempt at grammar and spelling. Spell check is your friend.
