First bites: Euro Grill

I’ve been wanting to try Euro Grill in Redlands for a while now.

Monday I finally got the chance.

They specialize in pizzas, pasta and Mediterranean dishes: falafel, gyros, kabobs, shawarma and the like.

Befitting the name of the restaurant, their pizzas are named for European cities and their pastas are mostly named for European countries.

For my first visit, I decided to try try the “Spain” pasta.

The “Spain” pasta consists of penne pasta with chicken, onion, bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto in a cream sauce.

It was quite flavorful.

The chicken was particularly delicious.

The price of the pasta was a little on the high side for lunch ($11), but meals are cooked to order, the ingredients are fresh and the portions are decent. Pizzas are large enough for two to share.

They do have a lunch special, which is $9.95, which includes either a pizza, a gyro or a pasta, a salad and a fountain drink.

However, that offer applies to a small selection of the pizzas and pastas. Still, it would be a good introduction to the Euro Grill’s fare.

A couple of small problems: Employees need to be specific as to which pizzas and pastas are available with the special, and the day we went, they were out of at least three of the fountain drinks.

If you’re in the vicinity of Citrus Plaza and want to try something out of the ordinary, you might want to seek out Euro Grill.

Euro Grill is tucked away in the back corner of the Redlands Town Center (I didn’t know that’s what it was called, either) at 10010 Alabama Street (at Lugonia Avenue).

Their menu and what appears to be a photo of the “Spain” pasta can be found on their Facebook page.
