A tradition begun in 2006, International House of Pancakes’ National Pancake Day celebration is a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

The concept is simple: In exchange for a free short stack of pancakes, IHOP hopes you’ll give a donation for the charities.

This year’s celebration will be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m on Tuesday (March 1).

Last year, IHOP raised over $2.1 million, with a total of $5.35 million raised since 2006.

This year’s goal is $2.3 million.
