OK, so there are no participating restaurants here in the San Bernardino valley, but there are a slew of restaurants in the Palm Springs area that are participating in this year’s Dining Out for Life, which is being held April 28.
The event, which is a fundraiser for various AIDS charities, is a simple one: You go out to eat and restaurants donate a portion of your bill to the charity.
Most restaurants donate 25%, but in the desert, all of the restaurants are donating at least 33% of the bill. About a fifth of them are donating a whopping 50%.
Participating restaurants include: King’s Highway, Circa 59, Cipolline Osteria, Johnny Costa’s Ristorante, Native Foods, Pinocchio’s in the Desert and Trio Restaurant.
In Palm Springs, the funds raised will benefit Desert AIDS Project.
