Who says doughnuts are only for mornings?

Today (June 3) is the 73rd National Doughnut Day and I think we should celebrate all day long!

It’s also a fundraiser for the Salvation Army, and many doughnut shops are “dough-nating” a portion of their proceeds today to them.

Just look for the poster pictured at the right, or click here for a partial list of participating shops.

Also, Krispy Kreme, whose sole Inland Empire location is at 4485 Mills Circle in Ontario, will be giving away a free doughnut of any variety to all its customers today. (One per customer, please!)

National Doughnut Day traces its roots all the way back to World War I.
