Want to help Farmer Boys help kids, and get a deal in the process?

This week, the chain began a fundraiser that will benefit the kids at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.

It’s the 11th year for the company’s “Give A Helping Hand” campaign.

Here’s how it works: Just visit any Farmer Boys restaurant, purchase a paper “Lion Heart” by making a donation of a dollar or more to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, and Farmer Boys will reward you with a coupon good for 20 percent off your order of $5 or more.

The restaurant’s goal is to raise $30,000 for the hospital, which serves more than 100,000 children annually and is the only Level 1 Regional Trauma Center covering a four-county area that includes Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo and Mono counties.

So, yes, your donations will have a positive impact on kids here in the Inland Empire.

The fundraiser continues through October 2. The discount coupon is good until December 31.

Since 2000, Farmer Boys and its guests have raised more than $260,000 for the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.
