H24Oktoberfest.pngOn Saturday (September 17), the Optimist Club of Redlands is presenting the Hangar 24 Craft Brewery Oktoberfest.

Yes, Oktoberfest traditionally begins in September.

The family-friendly event will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Sylvan Park, University Street and Colton Avenue, in Redlands.

In addition to terrific Hangar 24 brews, there will be food from The Stockyard, Mill Creek Cattle Co., Johnny's Tacos and Kiddough's Bakery.

Music will be provided by the Rheinlanders, a traditional, five-piece German polka band.

You'll be able to stretch your arms in the stein-carrying contest and your vocal cords in the yodeling contest.

Admission is $5 for those 18 and older, with proceeds benefiting charitable endeavors of the Redlands Optimist Club.
