Another Panera Bread rises in Rancho Cucamonga

A bit lost in all the hoopla surrounding the opening of the new Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour in Rancho Cucamonga was the fact that we had another restaurant opening to herald.

Panera Bread has opened in the spot where Mel's Drive-In used to be at 11550 Fourth St. in Rancho Cucamonga, just north of Ontario Mills mall.

The bakery cafe will host its official grand opening in January, and will present a local charity with a check during the event.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Panera!

Cool. Although I don't find myself in that area all too often. The one on Haven or even Fontana are a bit more convenient for me.

Now, I'd be so happy if they'd come to Diamond Bar - preferably an empty pad right on the corner of Golden Springs and Grand so I can walk to it from work!
