A big Dine 909 shout out goes to Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour server Michael Boles!
Fontana resident Ron Herman had gone to the newly-opened restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga to celebrate his 60th birthday.
Unfortunately, just after his food arrived, Herman suffered a seizure and stopped breathing.
Boles, a former U.S. Navy medic, heard a commotion in the restaurant.
Boles rushed over to Herman and (assisted by an off-duty paramedic) performed CPR, saving Herman’s life.
Rancho Cucamonga reporter (and Dine 909 contributor) Wendy Leung captured the scene during a recent reunion between Boles and Herman.
