Craft Beer Conclave coming to Palm Springs

KVCR-TV’s Out To Eat host Cliff Young is at it again.

Last month, Cliff had a very successful first food truck event, with news accounts estimating the crowd at around 10,000.

This month, he’s turning his attention to beer. In fact, he is bringing together over 20 personally taste-tested craft breweries (including Hangar 24, Inland Empire Brewing Company, and Stone Brewing Co.) together for the event. About 100 different brews are expected to be available at the event.

The inaugural Palm Springs Craft Beer Conclave will be held from noon to 5 p.m. March 24 at the Spa Resort Casino, 401 E. Amado Road.

This event will benefit the Rotary Club of Palm Springs.

And with the food truck festival such a success, he’s invited a few trucks to participate in this event as well.

Eight gourmet food trucks are currently scheduled to participate, including Apple Valley-based Where’s the Fire? Pizza, Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s Ludo Truck, and Great Food Truck Race season one winner, Grill ‘Em All.

There will be live music and DJs.

The event will also include a homebrew contest, details of which are forthcoming.

Tickets are $30 in advance (plus $1.74 service fee) for general admission, which includes a souvenir glass and free beer tastings throughout the event. A limited number of V.I.P. passes are available for $50 (plus $2.24 service fee).

The V.I.P. package includes a souvenir glass, early admission into the event (11 a.m. instead of noon) and free beer tastings for the day. There will also be a V.I.P. area stocked with food, free water and soda, and the ever-popular swag! Beer-tenders will be pouring a changing selection of beers in the V.I.P. area.

General admission tickets will be $35 at the door. V.I.P. tickets must be purchased in advance.

Designated driver tickets (one per accompanying V.I.P. or general admission holder) will be available on the day of the event. Those tickets will be $10 for general admission and $20 for V.I.P. access.

Unlike the food truck fest, which was a family-friendly event, this event will only be friendly to your family if they are all 21 or older. No one under the age of 21 will be admitted, and you must also bring your valid ID to the event to get in.
