Taco Bell not responsible for orange fingers

The long-gestating (reportedly in the works since January 2010) Doritos Locos Tacos are nearly here.

The taco, with a taco-shell-shaped Nacho Cheese Dorito where the taco shell should be, will launch at Taco Bell at midnight tonight.

Are you in line already?

Other flavors are supposedly in the works, with a Cool Ranch flavor being mentioned most often.

What they need to do is a Taco flavor Doritos Locos Taco. Now that would really be a big deal.

For more information, visit the Facebook event page for the launch here.

Participating restaurants in the Inland Empire include 9709 Base Line in Rancho Cucamonga, 1885 E. Fourth St. in Ontario and 1990 Ostrems Way in San Bernardino.

Hmmm…that Ontario location is about a block away from the Daily Bulletin and the San Bernardino location is about a block away from The Sun. Coincidence? I think not.

  1. Actually tried the Doritos Taco for lunch today here in Pomona. It was actually pretty good. The shell had that Doritos saltiness which actually enhanced the flavors of the meat and other fillings in the taco. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re on a salt/sodium restricted diet, but for the rest of us it was an improvement over the normal Taco Bell tacos we all remember so fondly. (What ever happened to the “all items on the menu $.15? Guess I’m showing my ancientness).
